The Ins and Outs of Insulin Injection

January 31st, 2013 by Deb Wilson

Whenever an individual begins insulin injection therapy there should be extensive training from medical professionals to ensure that proper technique is understood.  However, if the role of injecting insulin subsequently falls to someone else, such as an adult child for an aging parent, extensive training may not be readily available.  MedlinePlus, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health, recently provided a detailed description of the process that appears to be a great resource.
